#2351 Invalid Trandroid unable to auto connect to port 8112 without modifiying default daemon in Deluge-web.conf but conf gets over written every reboot unless permissions are changed. Damien Churchill paulpoco
Description

Trandroid unable to auto connect to port 8112 without modifying default daemon in Deluge-web.conf but conf gets over written every reboot unless permissions are changed to 444. This solves the Transdroid connection issue, but now web-ui cannot be changed in gtk or browser client. This issue have been ongoing for years now.

http://www.transdroid.org/support-forum/#/discussion/169/web-interface-not-connected-to-a-running-daemon

Got the following from the deluge web forums, had change permissions on web.conf otherwise settings would get overridden every reboot. ========================================================= "Re: Autoconnect web UI to daemon Postby Pavouk106 » Fri Dec 03, 2010 2:53 pm

Hello. Sorry to dig this thread, but I was also looking for solution of this problem. It is very simple. Just edit your web.conf as you wish (127.0.0.1:58846 as default daemon here) and then

CODE: SELECT ALL chmod 444 ~.config/deluge/web.conf

And voila - your configuration won't get overwritten everytime you start Deluged :-) At least it works on my Gentoo amd_64 system.

I came to this "solution" myself, never saw that in other thread on web (was searching for it for some time). I was thinking about everyrthing I could and it is so simple :-D Hope it helps to someon' ==========================================================

#2309 WorksForMe Trailing slash in torrent download path errors out torrent Calum Calum
Description

Forwarded from askubuntu:

I am connecting to my Ubuntu machine with my windows machine via Deluge Web ui and I don't know why any of the file paths I try don't download to the correct place. If I type in the /media/1TB/etc/etc/etc/ folder or whatever to the subdirectory on the external drive for "download location" in Deluge it errors the torrent. I can Samba into these drives perfectly fine and see them and the directories and their content as well. But when it comes to deluge I can't get the folder paths right. Any guidance?

With the solution being:

That last / was the culprit. I don't need one on the end.
