OS: Ubuntu Server 9.10 Processor: Intel Core2Duo 2x 2.33+ GHz 3 MB L2 - FSB 1066 MHz RAM: 2GB File Size: >6GB LibTorrent: 0.14.10-2

The upload speed changes from 7-8mb/s to 100-500kb/s. When the creation of torrent file finished the upload speed returned to 7-8mb/s

I think you will find that disk io is being maxed out while creating a new torrent. You can test this with iotop.

One suggestion I thought of is to increase the cache size.

This ticket is not in our eyes bug but more a feature request for disk I/O throttling when creating torrents. However I should add that it is unlikely to be implemented as this is more a hardware limitation due to your very high upload speeds.
