A workaround of sorts is to only change settings in preferences as changing settings through the status bar menu doesn't work but in the preference window it does.

Just wanted to add that it appears to only be a statusbar issue as in between changing the limit if you open preferences it shows the correct value. The only other thing is the selection in the status bar menu is stuck too so when ever you change it the menu doesn't update either and selecting the current value according to the menu does nothing. example if 30K/s is selected you can select 80k/s but cant then go back to 30K/s.
