So I picked up 32-bit gdb... which I can't make a lot of sense from.

And received this :

Thanks for the update. I have opened an upstream ticket: https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/issues/1727

Could you perhaps test with the debug build of libtorrent 1.0.11 from here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeAerjma6IqZXBON0FJOGFMUTQ?usp=sharing

I have also uploaded the pdb symbols file but that is not compatible with gdb. See wiki for alternative: Building/libtorrent

if anyone else is interested, I found gdb compiled here :http://www.equation.com/servlet/equation.cmd?fa=gdb

Running through the install for windows SDK and the debuggers now.

comment:3 by theorem, 8 years ago

very odd , I dropped in the debug libtorrent and everything starts working. Now I can't get it to fail!

I will have to try again on Tuesday when I am in the same physical environment and on a different network.

Notably, Windows 10 was asking me to let deluge through the firewall. (Similar to this popup : https://i.stack.imgur.com/tUvBk.png ) So I am thinking that possibly windows firewall is not permitting a port to be opened until the prompt is OK'd , but libtorrent charges ahead assuming that the port is open(??).

I've tried replicating that behavior, but this doesn't seem to trigger the problem on the wifi network I m on now.

comment:4 by Calum, 8 years ago

I should have prefixed that by saying that libtorrent 1.0.9 is supplied with 1.3.13 and I wanted to see if 1.0.11 works.

I can quickly build a 1.0.9 debug version and symbols if you wanted to test that.

This issue may well be found and fixed in latest release 1.0.11, there are details in upstream libtorrent ticket. There are also details in a related qbittorent issue: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/5387

I shall close this for now but feel free to open if it happens again and you can reproduce.
