#930 closed feature-request (Duplicate)

Recently used folders to move storage

Reported by: cristian.torras@gmail.com Owned by: Calum
Priority: minor Milestone: 2.0.0
Component: GTK UI Version:
Keywords: move storage gui Cc:

Description

Add a combo box with the recently used folders to the move storage dialog. It is very common to move the torrents always to the same list of locations. This feature will improve usability and avoid typing errors. A 'clear list' button next to the combo box would be also needed for privacy.

Why not to use for this already existing custom folders in gtk's file open dialog displayed on the bottom left ?

Replying to Plisk:

I think that's not a possibility, because, as it may work when running the daemon locally it won't when using the interface remotely. The folder you type in the field is local to the computer running daemon and the existing custom folders show local folders.

For example, I'm running the UI in Windows, but the daemon is running in a linux box and I usually move torrents to /mnt/volume_2/Music or /mnt/volume_2/ToDelete...

i will add my support for this too, as i have to remember my remote server filesystem layout when moving files (including the capitalisation and spaces in those dir names)
