#3056 closed bug (WorksForMe)

creating daemon connection in deluge-gtk fails without feedback

Reported by: krichter Owned by: Cas
Priority: major Milestone: 2.0.0
Component: GTK UI Version: develop
Keywords: Cc:

After the connection to the daemon failed without feedback (probably another issue which can't be investigated prior to fixing this one) I deleted the long time ago only defined connection in order to re-create it. After clicking on "Add", entering hostname, port, username and password and clicking "Save" the creation dialog closes, but the connection isn't listed in the list of available connections. There's no feedback for the user and nothing logged to console.

deluge-web 2.0.0.dev7052+45e0d10+201706100031~ubuntu17.04.1 shows a very similar behaviour where connections no longer have an effect, but deleting and re-creating the connection results in an entry in the list of available connections. Pressing "Connect" results in no connection.

I think this is a critical bug because it doesn't allow to use the program.

I am aware of the gtkui save button bug, it's acting same as the cancel button so I will fix that shortly.

However I am not seeing any other issues with the connection manager in gtk or web UI. I am able to add and connect to daemons in Web UI.

Please provide logs or further information.
