Hi. Better console UI (e.g. ncurses) should be great!
i second this request.. the console UI is basically unusable to me and impossible to manage torrents with.. though i like being able to connect to my daemon remotely or simply ssh into my computer.. even so, torrent management is quite difficult, having to type in the torrent ID to do every little task adding torrents is quite complicated also, having a way to add torrents using an autocomplete and ls feature in rtorrent would be nice (and the same way to select save directory).
Have torrent queue/priority management Download priority of files within torrent autocomplete paths and display list of torrents within the path yes.. ncurses =] But i use deluge over rtorrent because it's clearly superior (on my machine at least) and the deluge project started on the ubuntu forums, though i wasn't around when it happened.

new console is now in master. feel free to open a new bug if you don't like the new console, or better yet, report issues you have so the new console can be better.

I've been thinking the same thing for a while now as I use ssh quite frequently... but how difficult would it be to port an ncurses program to a Win32 environment without using full blown Cygwin or the like?
